He did post-graduation in surgery from prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi, India. After successfully completing post-graduation he went on to do DNB in Gastro-intestinal Surgery from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India. DNB program at Sir Ganga Ram hospital is considered as the best in India due to the vast surgical experience and a successful academic program. During his stay in Sir Ganga Ram hospital, he was involved in a vast array of complicated gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreatico-biliary procedures including Liver Transplantation. With an ambition to become an accomplished cancer and HPB surgeon, Dr Abhishek further honed his skills by doing a certified two year fellowship in GI and HPB Cancer Surgery from Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, India. He furthered his skills as a Specialist Registrar in Colorectal Cancer Unit at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, India and gained experience in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal cancer surgery, pelvic exenterations and cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal surface malignancies.
